4th Annual Stephen J. Anderson 5K Road Race & 3K Fun Run/Walk Presented by EWGSports4Kids We're building a track for EWG Jr./Sr. High in honor of Stephen J. Anderson. Money raised in this race will be matched by the state DEM, which in May gave EWGSports4Kids a $300,000 recreational grant. The DEM recognizes the track will enhance the overall quality of our school district and our community, providing residents a safe place to walk or run. The track/sports complex will be in memory of Stephen J. Anderson, who died of cancer in 2003, at age 53. He had taught in the Exeter-West Greenwich schools for 29 years, coaching several sports and serving 14 years as a state lawmaker. Register Online Here Print a Mail-In Registration Form Time: 8:00 Registration 9:15 Youth Races 10:00 5K Road Race & 3K Run/Walk Place: Exeter-West Greenwich Jr./Sr. High School 930 Nooseneck Hill Rd.(Route 3) West Greenwich, RI 02817 Distance: Ages 6 & Under, 7-8: 200 Meters Ages 9-12: 400 Meters Run/Walk: 3K (1.8 miles) Road Race: 5K (3.1 miles) Entry Fee: $15.00 per adult (prior to Oct. 22nd) $20.00 on race day $10.00 for students $5.00 for youth races (t-shirts not included for youth races) Prizes: 1st 200 registrants in 5K/3K receive a long sleeve t-shirt day of race.
